It's Najib who'll bastardise Malays, says Umno man

Malays will be "bastardised" (bangsat) if Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak remains in power and isn't given the boot, says former Batu Kawan Umno vice-chairperson Khairuddin Abu Hassan.

"The Malays will be bastardised if Najib remains in power! The Malays will be divided and be bastardised if Najib is not ousted!

"As long as Najib remains 'syok sendiri' (self-indulgent) and daydreams, Umno and BN will be unstable!" Khairuddin said in an emotional Facebook posting yesterday.

He said this in reaction to Najib's speech yesterday that the Malays would be bastardised if Umno loses power.

However, the Umno man said the party and BN would be stronger if Najib resigns soon.

"Without Najib, the Malays and other races will unite because we are currently facing the worst confidence crisis towards a prime minister.

"The people have not only lost confidence but no longer trust Najib's leadership or his personality.

"He can do whatever to lie and fool the people, but we, the people, won't be fooled again!" Khairuddin said.

'Corrupt leaders must be removed'

He said he did not want to topple the government, but only wants to see corrupt leaders removed from office.

He added that Umno leaders who defend corrupt leaders are "bodoh dan bangang" (stupid and dumb", and must repent for their actions.

Khairuddin had entered the limelight after he lodged a police report against Najib's brainchild 1MDB, and he recently turned in evidence on the debt-ridden sovereign wealth fund to Swiss authorities.

Meanwhile, former Johor Umno Youth vice-chief Khairul Anwar Rahmat also reacted negatively to Najib's bastardised comments, saying no one had a right to insult humanity in such a way.

"No one has a right to insult the beauty of creation with such vulgarity. Only Allah knows if someone is not in grace," Khairul said, adding that leaders must be truthful and faithful.
