Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak is unfazed by the Bersih 4 rally which demanded for his resignation, declaring that his government had the support of "the rest of Malaysia".

Najib went on to cite "some media reports" claiming that only 20,000 people turned up for the protest which officially kicked off at 2pm yesterday and will run for 34 hours.

“There might have been 20,000 people at the rally, as reported by some media, but I am sure only 20,000 are a little dissatisfied.

"The rest of the Malaysian population are with the government,” he was quoted as saying by The Star Online .

Bersih 4 organisers claimed that some 200,000 people had attended its rally.

Najib ( photo ), who was in Kuala Terengganu today, added that "what is 20,000" when the government can easily mobilise hundreds of thousands.

"Felda settlers alone could make the numbers," he was quoted as saying.

He also accused Bersih 4 of not having the people's welfare at heart.

Najib is facing pressure to step down over his handling of 1MDB and RM2.6 billion in deposits in his personal bank accounts.

Najib had denied taking public funds for personal gain while his supporters claim that the money was a political donation.
