Najib, time to listen to the people of Bersih

YOURSAY They braved intimidation, sun, rain. Ignore their grievances at your peril.

Najib claims only 20k at Bersih, others 'with the gov't'

Do The Right Thing: People who came for Bersih 4 were not mobilised. They came voluntarily despite all kinds of intimidation. They are ordinary Malaysians from all over the country, trying to voice their grievances to you, despite the hot sun, and sleeping in the streets at night, and yet you are trying to belittle them.

Yes, you can mobilise hundreds of thousands of government servants. They have no choice but to obey your instructions, willingly or not.

Are you really the leader of Malaysia who feels proud to belittle the outcry of the ordinary rakyat of Malaysia? Those not attending Bersih 4 may not necessarily support you. They may have their reasons for not being there.

Rm2.6billion Duit Haram: No wonder the country cannot lead her neighbours in any field. We have a premier who does not how to count. A cursory glance of the images of protestors will tell that the number easily exceeds 50,000. Oh yes, before I forget, he knows how to count the amount of donated money: RM2.6 billion.

NoBs: Dissolve Parliament now and call for a general election if you are so confident.

Gotcha: The premier does not know how to count and that's why RM2.60 billion to him is like RM2.6 million. He says three million Umno members are supporting him, and now he says the rest of Malaysia support him.

To test the truth, why doesn't he dissolve Parliament and then see how many Malaysians love him? It's no point twisting facts and making denials. The rakyat of all races are smart.

NuckinFuts: I guess after counting his billions, he is too exhausted to count the yellow participants. It's okay. We understand.

Hmmmmmmmm: First they threaten the students, telling them not to attend, then teachers, then the civil servants. Then women were advised not to go. Then they made the wearing of yellow Bersih 4 T-shirts illegal.

Then they claim that the rally is illegal. When hundreds of thousands of people still turned up, they had no choice but to delude themselves by reporting low. Here civil servants are under threat to not to go for anything but ministers' functions.

Anonymous #07451242: Dear premier, 20,000 people slept overnight along Jalan Sultan and the inner city centre. On the whole, there were easily more than 200,000 yesterday and today definitely 250,000 and more. You are definitely surrounded by people who can count only up to 20,000.

Caring Citizen: Laugh while you can. You have forgotten that you lost the popular vote in the last GE.

Roy69: In the last GE, the majority vote was against the government. How is it the people are now with the government?

Res Ipsa: If you are so sure that you have the support of the remainder of the country, why not do the honorable thing now and dissolve Parliament immediately and call for fresh elections. It appears that you are so scared of support even within Umno that you have called for postponement of party elections.

Spiderman: Najib, the minions that count for you don’t know how to count? Just take a look at the videos on the Internet. They don’t lie.

Better just call Dr Mahathir. He was there last night. The crowd is not a static rent-a-crowd like at Umno events.

Here at Bersih, those who attend don’t get paid. But more than RM2 million was donated. Of course, nothing compared to that USD650 million.

Whatshappening: Please do not claim who is more popular. More importantly, the rakyat are together as one. And please stop being racist, blaming DAP and the Chinese for dominating Bersih. Let the next GE decide. This is when all the rakyat will have to come out and vote.

Anonymous_1371515574: Mr Premier, all that needs to come out from your mouth now is;

1. How come RM 2.6 billion went into your personal account?

2. Where is it now? That's all the rakyat needs to hear from you. All the other nonsense, nobody cares.

Apa nama: Najib, if what you claimed is right, then you can with confidence, move for a confidence motion in Parliament. Better still you can bring forward GE14.

Who knows your popular vote may increase to more than 80 percent and you may even win with landslide. This is based on the "some media report" which could be true because you believe you have support from the rest of Malaysians, besides these 20,000 people. By the way Najib, you do not have my vote and I am not one of those 20,000 out there. Best wishes to you.

Bystander: Doesn't he even know how to count or he was misled by unreliable sources? The whole world knows that conservatively, there were not less than 100,000 at the height of the rally. Small wonder Malaysia's economy is in tatters.

All for Malaysia: What Najib said is not important. Disappointedly, Bersih had to be called again. The last GE saw the opposition win 88 Seats, 20 or more seats from taking over the government.

They should have built on it. Win the hearts of the people, go to neighboring constituents and convince them. Work for the rakyat and help Malaysia more forward.

Instead what did they do? Self-destruct. PAS left, then PKR became weaker, and the only thing they have done is pick on 1MDB and nothing else for the last two years.

These are not the kind of people we want to leave this nation too. Next GE they will be behind for sure. However it was to be expected. DAP with its meritocratic, chauvinistic behavior, just cannot survive. God Bless Malaysia.

Fightforjustice: Demanding for a vote of no-confidence in Parliament is what he wants so he can dissolve Parliament and call for re-elections, giving Sabah and Sarawak 50 odd more seats and get a two-thirds majority for BN. This guy has it all planned already. Better just keep fighting from within.

Dont just talk: The 1MDB premier Najib said that Felda settlers alone could make the numbers in votes for him. We really pity those simple minded, illiterate Felda settlers, who have been exploited by Umno Baru leaders, not realising that the FGV IPO price has tumbled from RM4.55 to RM1.20. Do they understand basic economics and the paper losses they have suffered?

Thana55: Low Yat incident - 100 troublemakers supporting a thief, close an eye. 200,000 peaceful rally goers wanting to improve the governance of the country, considered illegal. Who are you kidding?

Nobrain: What 20,000? Add one more zero. He doesn't even know how to count. No wonder the country is in such financial mess.

Tan Kim Keong: Numbers don't lie but some do lie about numbers.
