25 Johor PAS wings’ panel members quit to join Amanah
Twenty-five executive committee members of the Johor PAS Youth and Women’s wings today announced their resignation from the party to join the new Parti Amanah Negara.
Johor PAS Youth chief Mohd Faizul Mohd Salleh and Johor PAS Women’s Wing chief Norhayati Bachok are among those who have resigned, according to Johor Gerakan Harapan Baru (HB) chairperson Aminolhuda Hassan.
HB chairperson Mohamad Sabu had stated yesterday that Amanah would be the official name of the HB political platform.
Aminolhuda, who is a former Johor PAS commissioner, said theirs was a migration to a new party that was more aligned to the desired direction.
He said they intended to get 5,000 members by the time the new party is launched in the state on Sept 11.
On Aug 24, a total of 91 Gelang Patah PAS committee members resigned to join the new party.
Mat Sabu had said yesterday that HB had taken over the Malaysian Workers Party and rebranded it as Parti Amanah Negara.
