More than 100 lawyers today joined the new Parti Amanah Negara - a splinter of PAS - pledging to nurture the party to be a formidable force.

Their membership give an indication of the acceptance by professionals of the party and Amanah's legal bureau which will be led by Sepang MP and former PAS central committee member Hanipa Maidin.
