Even a lowly Umno leader can be untouchable

YOURSAY ‘Calling people pig (babi) is only a mirror reflection of oneself; of how uncouth one is.’

'What's wrong with Cina Babi, Chinese eat pork'

SRMan: Sungai Besar Umno division leader Jamal Md Yunos, to call another human being an animal reflects very poorly on one's upbringing.

My Malay friends call people like you, 'kurang ajar' (disrespectful or ill-behaved). This means the elders in your home were/are at fault for not teaching you properly.

Just because some people eat a certain kind of meat, you think it's okay to call them names. Then what should we call someone who eats, say beef?

You boasted that the rally would garner a million people, which however fell flat. With only 40,000 to 50,000 demonstrators (some were paid to make the one-day trip to Kuala Lumpur), it tells us how much Malay support you have for your so-called 'Uplifting Malay Dignity' cause.

Yes, you might be able to hoodwink some to ‘bodek’ (apple polish) a corrupt leader, but many from your race could see through your game plan and did not take the bait.

Not Smart: Jamal, judging from your unjustified gastronomic argument, you must be physically exhausted and mentally stressed after the poor showing by your red shirt team.

If your food are kuih cucur badak, batang buruk, lembu, kerbau, belacan, pucuk paku and ubi kayu, will it be nice to call you Melayu badak, Melayu batang buruk, Melayu lembu, Melayu belacan, Melayu paku or Melayu kayu?

Of course not, as it is insulting and humiliating. That's what you have done and this has brought bad reputation to your community. Remember, that one should not insult others as others too can so the same, and perhaps even worse.

Existential Turd: Hurling insults says more about the civility or the lack thereof of the person who insults than the person being insulted.

All the claims that Malays are peace-loving and "bersopan-santun" go out the window with the uncouth posters and seditious behaviour of the demonstrators. So much for defending Malay dignity.

The Malays have been getting privilege treatment and control all levers of power since independence, and especially since the implementation of New Economic Policy (NEP) and its incarnations.

And this man has the cheek to claim they share everything? Perhaps one should ask: "What more do the Malays want?"

Pemerhati: Najib and Umno organised and financed the rally with allegedly stolen money to get the political support of the Malays by polarising them.

They did this by getting their brainwashed racist red shirt supporters to demonstrate against the Chinese and scold them by making false and unfounded allegations against them.

Little did these naïve Malays realise that their stupid actions were tantamount to biting the hand that feeds them since according to some people, including former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the Chinese pay about 80 to 90 percent of the taxes.

That means that in reality the buses on which they travelled, the cash allowances and the free red shirts they got and the food they ate were mainly paid for by Umno from the money that was obtained from the Chinese.

Thus the right and decent thing for the red shirts to do now is to say sorry and thank you to the Chinese and instead scold Najib and Umno for stealing.

BTN: There is a lot of things that is forbidden in Islam and one of them is to harbour hatred and malice towards another race, especially when Muslims form the majority of the population.

This is just as simple as ABC and yet these Umno people twist and turn by using race and religion to justify their racism.

Sali Tambap: Calling people pig (babi) is only a mirror reflection of oneself; of how uncouth one is. This is definitely not Malaysian culture, regardless of what race one is.

One can never hear such word being uttered by our grandparents. They were just too dignified, refined and clothed with finesse, that such word was just below them.

In any case, calling others name, do not make them one. If anything, it is more of displaying your own kind of brand. Matured people would not be too perturbed by such remark.

Thinkingmachine: Stupidity knows no levels. It is really sickening to hear such racist remarks.

I wonder whether these guys ever read about the kind deeds of the Prophet Muhammad SAW during his time.

JusticeNow!: It is right because Jamal say so. No amount of argument will make a difference.

Umno leaders through this man have made it crystal clear what they stand for and no amount of arguments and justification on their part will change their image, both locally and internationally.

They just shamed themselves and gave reasons for even the Malays not to support them.

Lamborghini: This cheap publicity seeker is getting more and more ridiculous, showing the shallowness of his brains and making a fool of himself and the people he says he is representing.

It’s not worth wasting our precious time and energy talking to foolish people like these.
