PKR won’t succeed in their quest to get 47 BN MPs from Sabah and Sarawak said Umno supreme council member Shamsul Anuar Nasarah.

Shamsul said that all East Malaysian BN MPs are not easily swayed by the opposition’s ‘sweet nothings’.

“PKR is wrong if they think BN MPs, especially in Sabah and Sarawak, are easily influenced with vague objectives which change according to circumstances.

“I am convinced that it is very hard to buy the loyalty of Sabah and Sarawak BN MPs as the relationship and loyalty was formed for a long time on the basis of sincerity for the sake of purpose,” the Lenggong MP told Malaysiakini .

Yesterday, PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail urged the 47 MPs to leave BN and cooperate with the opposition block in both states for the sake of a better Malaysian future.

Shamsul ( photo ), who is also the National Higher Education Fund (PTPTN) chairperson, said it is better for the opposition leader to take care of her own party’s problems rather than BN’s.

“It is better for Wan Azizah to focus on repairing the many weaknesses in the Pakatan Rakyat government and her party in Selangor,” he said.

Shamsul said Wan Azizah and PKR would not even be able to convince their ally DAP to be on the same page as them.

“I want to ask, will DAP follow what Wan Azizah said? I am convinced because Wan Azizah herself has no influence in DAP,” he added.
