Umno supreme council member Nazri Abdul Aziz struck back at MCA Youth secretary-general Leong Kim Soon for equating dissenting voices in Umno with the Pasir Gudang MCA Youth wing, who want to cut ties with Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

Nazri said that there is a big difference between them as the dissenting voices never undertook to sever ties with Najib, who is also the BN chairman.

"This is another stupid MCA Youth (official). There is a big difference. He (Leong) cannot say that the dissenting voices in Umno are as serious as the call to sever ties by Pasir Gudang MCA Youth.

"We can tolerate the dissenting voices as they never wanted to sever ties with the prime minister," he told Malaysiakini today.

Nazri added that for Pasir Gudang MCA Youth to make such decision it should be endorsed by their central committee first and they should not have acted on their own.

"Failing that, they (Pasir Gudang MCA Youth) should get out of MCA," he said.

Earlier today Leong had hit at Nazri, lambasting the tourism and culture minister who had called the Pasir Gudang MCA Youth ‘stupid’.

Leong said Nazri could differ in his opinion, but it was regrettable that the minister chose to humiliate the MCA Youth wing as the senior politician was supposed to be inclusive in accepting opinions.

Nazri however did not take kindly of Leong's attempt to 'school' him on politics.

"How can you ask me to be inclusive when your party is trying to be exclusive by cutting ties with the PM?"

"I'm a senior politician, you shouldn't teach me politics," he said.
