"I will meet him (Subramaniam) concerning my wish to contest after all the divisional elections are done (by this weekend). The decision (to contest) depends on his (Subramaniam) endorsement," said the Federal Territories MIC liaison body chairperson.

Saravanan, who is also Deputy Youth and Sports Minister, told reporters this after a reception with Federal Terrorities MIC branch chiefs in Kuala Lumpur last night.

At the event, the Federal Territories, which comprised 11 divisions - Cheras, Batu, Bukit Bintang, Bandar Tun Razak, Setiawangsa, Lembah Pantai, Segambut, Titiwangsa, Kepong, Seputeh dan Putrajaya - pledged their support for Saravanan to contest the party deputy president's post.
