Not all voters from the Chinese community support DAP, claimed PAS vice-president Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah.

Mohd Amar, who is also Kelantan Deputy Menteri Besar, said this was based on research by PAS after the party confirmed severing ties with DAP at its annual assembly in June.

"Don't let there be a perception that all Chinese support DAP. If we go to the ground, many Chinese don't support DAP. This must be clear.

"DAP also cannot assume they get (100 percent ) support from the Chinese community currently," he said when met at his office in Kota Darul Naim, Kota Baru, today.

He was commenting on the support of the Chinese community towards the party after PAS did not join the new opposition coalition Pakatan Harapan which was set up last week and is in the process of being registered.

Its membership comprises Parti Keadilan Rakyat, DAP and yet to-be-registered Parti Amanah Negara.

Commenting further, Mohd Amar said not all Chinese were angry with PAS after it decided to not to cooperate with DAP on any matter.
