No deadline in search for missing Orang Asli pupils

The search for the missing seven Orang Asli pupils from Sekolah Kebangsaan Tohoi in Gua Musang, Kelantan, will continue until they are found, said Deputy Rural and Regional Development Minister Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub.

He said no deadline had been set for the search, which entered its 40th day today. The children had been missing since Aug 23.

"We don't care about the cost, the objective is to find the children," he told reporters after visiting Sekolah Kebangsaan Lanai and the Kampung Pantos Integrated Remote Area Development Programme (PROSDET) here today.

He said the search for the children had been expanded to cover the towns near the forest area like Gua Musang and Cameron Highlands.

The search area in the hilly forest of Pos Tohoi had also been expanded from a radius of 80km to a radius of 140km, he added.
