Penang CM denies 'leave state' tweet over loudspeakers

Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng has denied sending out a tweet calling for those who do not agree with the ban on mosque loudspeakers, except for azan prayers, to leave the state.

Lim said a police report will be lodged over the fake tweet today, asking the force and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission to speedily act upon the matter.

He expressed hope that members of the public would not believe the lies that he was responsible for the fake tweet.
