After failing to obtain an apology from deputy minister Tajuddin Abdul Rahman, MCA youth chief Chong Sin Woon now says Tajuddin is “too junior” for them to entertain.

Instead, Chong, who is also deputy education minister urged all to wait for BN to take action against the agriculture and agro-based industries deputy minister.

Tajuddin refused to apologise for saying that ethnic Chinese Malaysians who complain to foreign quarters about domestic affairs deserve to be slapped .

“He is too junior to insult MCA. We leave it to him; we have bigger things to do.

"We have taken action by writing to BN. Let's see what BN will do," he told reporters at MCA headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.

Tajuddin (photo) has told MCA that he will not bow down even if MCA made noise " until doomsday ".

Chong had repeatedly called out Tajuddin for the controversial remark.

Asked today if this means he has given up on his demand, he replied in the negative.

“My stand as to demanding his apology has not changed. If this person does not apologise today, it only reflects his behaviour and mindset.

“The whole Chinese community demanded his apology, not just me,” he said.

MCA has said it would submit a formal letter of complaint to BN supreme council against Tajuddin.

Party president Liow Tiong Lai had urged BN action against Tajuddin for undermining national harmony and unity.

“Tajuddin has hurt the Chinese community again and again with his remarks. Not only is he unrepentant, he had also intensified his denials,” Liow had said, after the MCA central committee meeting on Oct 6.
