The High Court in Kuala Lumpur today fixed Dec 8 to 11 for the hearing of National Feedlot Corporation Sdn Bhd chairperson Mohamad Salleh Ismail's suit against Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli and KiniTV .

The date was fixed by Judicial Commissioner Azizul Azmi Adnan in chambers before the lawyers representing the various parties.

Lawyer Razlan Hadri Zulkifli representing Rafizi told this to Malaysiakini when contacted.

Initially, the case was fixed for hearing on Oct 26 to 30 but Salleh's lawyer Muhammad Shafee Abdullah is not available for those dates as he has to represent the government at various meetings concerning Asean.

Shafee is the Asean Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights chairperson.

Two years' ago it was reported that the suit was to go on trial as parties could not reach an agreement during mediation.

It was reported that NFC and Salleh, who is husband to Umno Wanita chief Shahrizat Abdul Jalil (photo) had filed a suit against Rafizi and Malaysiakini Dotcom Sdn Bhd, the operator of news portal Malaysiakini which owns KiniTV .

Shahrizat dropped suit

NFC is suing Rafizi over a blog posting made in 2012 entitled ‘NFC Scandal: evidence of how public funds for the feedlot project was used as ‘guarantee’ for personal loan to purchase eight luxury properties at KL Eco City, Bangsar’.

The company is suing KiniTV over a video posting of Rafizi’s press conference entitled ‘More properties in Bangsar bought by NFC directors’.

It was reported that Shahrizat had dropped her RM100 million suit against Rafizi and Ampang MP Zuraida Kamaruddin over the NFC affair midway through the suit.
