YOURSAY | ‘You believe they, having received their share of the spoils, will go against Najib?’
Stop plunder of national assets, Muhyiddin urges Umno
Trueglitter:
Former DPM Muhyiddin Yassin, all right-minded rakyat are loudly cheering you on to ensure that the alleged perpetrator PM Najib Razak, who has caused such national shame and indignities to our country and its people, be lawfully prosecuted in the highest court of the land.
Clearly, the general sentiments of the well-informed rakyat are staunchly behind your single-minded endeavour and crusade to muster support from those who will not be swayed by the inglorious offers of perks or positions or be intimidated by the overwhelming threats of ostracism or termination of party memberships.
History will indeed be kind to you in that you had not allowed yourself to wallow in the indignities of defeat despite been abruptly and unfairly stripped off your deputy prime ministership by Najib.
CQ Muar: Muhyiddin, you are addressing the Umno members in vain. It is being speculated that those hefty billions in the hands of Najib had been distributed to ministers, leaders (including coalition partners), Umno representatives, cronies, etc, to gain their support.
Do you actually believe those takers, having received their share of the spoils, would dare spill the beans against Najib?
Perhaps only a miserable handful of honourable ones will heed your call to end the madness, whereas all others are too overwhelmed by greed and are reluctant to part with their cherished dreams.
Nonetheless, we hope your effort will pay off. Malaysians are all crying out for change before it reach a point of no return.
Clever Voter: Interestingly there are few decent people with conscience. Money taken has been shared and spent on a variety of things. But the beneficiaries remain few and the majority have to struggle to feed themselves.
The inequality among the ethnic groups has widened. High cost of living affects the majority of wage earners as our household debts continue to edge towards 90%. Even those Felda settlers are suffering.
Yet at every party assembly, members are seen to rejoicing, but over what? Imagine if our resources are used in a responsible way. Everyone can enjoy them. More so, the Malays.
Dr Suresh Kumar: How gullible can Malaysians be, especially the opposition supporters. First they allowed themselves to be taken for a ride by the now defunct Pakatan Rakyat, now they are allowing an Umno kleptocrat to ride roughshod over them.
If this is not insanity, I really don't know what is. Tell me how long has Muhyiddin been involved in Umno politics?
You mean to tell me that he was not aware of Umno's plundering of the national coffers all the while? You mean he was not one of the benefactors of the so-called RM2.6 billion and the many billions needed for every GE under the previous prime ministers for Umno to win elections?
Do you honestly believe that Muhyiddin and the other expired senior Umno leaders led by the despondent Mahathir are truly sincere in saving the nation, or their aim is to replace Najib with their own cronies?
Had Najib not sacked him, will Muhyiddin be singing the same tune as he is doing now? Why did it take him such a long time to speak up?
Worried Sick: If Muhyiddin is sincere in what he says, he should support the motion of no confidence (if there is one and if speaker allows it) in Parliament.
Not Smart: Muhyiddin, you are tainted as you must have put your finger into the pie as well. You now turning into an angel after been sidelined. You should have been clean all this while to qualify to be an angel.
GE14NOW!: Indeed, Muhyiddin, do you only want to say things to satisfy yourself that you have said them or do you really want to make a difference? Are you a real leader?
If so, then it is time to stake your position out clearly and get your Umno MP friends to cross over and initiate the no-confidence vote. This blood-sucking fundraiser of a PM needs to go and he needs to be gotten rid of now.
Oh, by the way, when you said that Umno MPs should not be bought at a ‘cheap price’, do you then mean that it is acceptable to be bought if the price is right?
RM2.6billion Duit Haram: Umno members will regret in the near future for not speaking up now, just because they are not affected.
But one day when the country economy goes down the drain due to rampant corruption, and they find their sons and daughters out of job, it would be too late.
Worse still, if their children have to work overseas as labourers and maids. Philippines under Marcos has lots of similarities with us, and don't think it won't happen to us. You have to stop it now.
Unafraid: It's now or never. All righteous ones must go for broke before our country becomes broke.
Let those with voices be heard. We are in the doldrums. We can still save our country now if we are brave.
If we don't do something now, Malaysia may not recover at all for many, many years to come and generations will pay the price for our indifference.
