PKR Petaling Jaya Selatan parliamentarian Hee Loy Sian dismissed the suggestion by DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng to retract the motion of no confidence against Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

"Lim Guan Eng is not my boss," said Hee in a text message to Malaysiakini .

He was responding to Lim's suggestion that such an important motion ought to be tabled by Opposition Leader Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

"I will follow the party line, let the party president decide," he said, responding to a question whether his party had advised him to retract the motion.

Meanwhile, PKR Batu parliamentarian Tian Chua also dismissed Lim's suggestion to retract the no-confidence vote motion against the premier.

"No such thing - unless we don't want the prime minister to step down," said Chua ( photo ).

He added every lawmaker has the right to table motions.

"Each of us can file separately, it is just a general expression of our stand," he added.

Hee's motion was accepted by the House as item 25 in the Order Paper of Parliament.

The Opposition leader will find an appropriate time to file a motion of no confidence against Najib, which is going to be supported by all opposition parties, Chua added.

It is learnt that Pakatan Harapan will discuss the matter in a meeting today.
