The result of DNA tests on a skeleton and a body found during the search for a group of missing Orang Asli pupils of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Tohoi early this month would be released tomorrow, according to police.
Kelantan police chief Mazlan Lazim said the result would also help determine the identity of one more of the missing pupils as the search continued.
“We will know who has yet to be found, whether it is Linda Rosli or Haikal Yaakob, both eight,” he said.
He spoke to reporters after launching an anti-crime campaign at the Kelantan Police Contingent headquarters in Kota Baru today.
On Oct 16, the Chemistry Department confirmed the identities of children found on Oct 9 as Ika Ayel, nine, and a skeleton found on Oct 11 as that of Juvina David, seven.
Earlier, on Oct 7, a search team found the body of a pupil that was later identified as Sasa Sobrie, eight, by family members while on Oct 8, search parties found a skull and several pieces of bones of an unidentified child.
