‘PKR, get act together or you'll be shown the door’

YOURSAY | 'Voters turned off by infighting in S'gor tolled highways issue.'

Wan Azizah changes tune on Azmin 'acting unilaterally'

P Dev Anand Pillai: PKR, it is best that you get your act together or the people of Selangor will just show you the door, come the next elections.

Selangor MB Azmin Ali acts for the best interest of the people of Selangor and not for highway concessionaires which seem determined to build highways all over Selangor and even above our heads and roofs.

If PKR can't allow its candidate to be the chief executive of a state for a full term, imagine what it will be if they have the federal government in their hands. Learn from your coalition partner, DAP.

Oh Ya?: Is Azmin so powerful that he can approve anything without going through his exco? Shouldn't this power be curbed after former MB Khalid Ibrahim's water restructuring controversies?

Where is the Selangor Select Committee on Competency, Accountability and Transparency (Selcat)? Why is it dormant? Maybe good governance is dead, together with the Pakatan Rakyat platform.

Anonymous 701731441687485: Yes, please clean up house now, before GE14. Please expose the irresponsible approvals of these highways.

We need our green belts, residents' peace and LRT corridors. No more unnecessary toll roads.

JomUbahUbah: All Malaysians believe that it is high time for PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail to grill Azmin.

Wira: Are some top leaders in PKR no longer in a working relationship with one another? What's so difficult for the president of the party to give her deputy a phone call to clarify things?

SSDhaliwal: Here we go again, it looks like Azmin is another Khalid in the making. And it looks like the Umno mentality is taking over once again.

FellowMalaysian: It has caught everyone by surprise that the three highways appeared in the Budget 2016 list of approved projects. I hope Azmin answers this truthfully.

Goldee: I believed these highways have been approved by the former MB which has nothing to do Azmin. Why make a fuss?

Anak,Bangsa,Malaysia: If this is true, then Azmin should be sacked immediately as deputy president of PKR.

The Analyser: Since when has decision-making been Azmin's prerogative. Why do we elect parliamentarians?

Azmin is MB to take the flack, not to make decisions. And since when has the Selangor government been answerable to Granny?

Bamboo: After initial good 'wayang' of climbing on rubbish trucks, now the Umno DNA of Azmin reveals itself. Selangorians, vote him out in GE14.

View Point: The Umno blood still in him. And now he seems to take sides with PAS. Better to remove him.

Aegan: Dear Azmin, Selangor has so many problems. When you going to solve all the problems? My humble request; please focus on Selangor people before you focus on politics.

NuckinFuts: This is our Taman Warisan, the Selangor state park the highways will be bulldozing through. Vandals. Pakatan, you have let us down big time.

KJ: Opposition can't fulfil no tolled highway pledge

Potato Chips: Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin and Works Minister Fadillah Yusof - reveal the contents of the agreements. We know the Umno cronies are getting a large portion of the tolls.

All federal roads and highways are under the federal government, so how do you expect the state government to remove tolls?

Anonymous 701731441687485: I'll give it to Khairy on this one. The Selangor government under Azmin, particularly its rushed approval of the EKVE (East Klang Valley Expressway), is telling and disappointing.

Tulan: Khairy Jamaluddin, can you please tell us who are those idiots who signed those contracts.

Lbs: Tulan, for your kind information, these lopsided contracts between the high toll operators and our corrupted Umno-BN government, were signed by the ex-works minister who was the ex-MIC president.

The Analyser: The pity is, KJ, is that you couldn't let the opposition supporters work things out for themselves. Coming from you they will ignore the facts, because being Malaysians, they know better than you do.

But like a true Malaysian, you feel the need to tell others how they should think. It's another Catch-22 really.

You think nobody can think for themselves so you tell them what to do, so they then decide that you will do their thinking for them and they don't need to think for themselves.

K Lim: It’s difficult to abolish tolls because they are under contract. This is what Pakatan promised - if they win the election, they will review the unfair contracts and the federal government is to buy back the highways.

Why Tell Me?: Only a capable, honest and rakyat-oriented government will be able to reduce cost of living and abolish tolled highways. It’s definitely not Umno.
