1MDB Arul accepts Pua's 'live talk show' challenge but...

Aries46: Why should 1MDB president Arul Kanda be scared if the company is above board and he speaks the truth as he claims? Why lay conditions unless he has been telling a pack of lies and fears being exposed?

Is this also how Arul manoeuvred himself out of his two appointments with the initial Public Accounts Committee (PAC) probe and then got the entire probe paralysed?

What conflict of interest, Arul? Even former PAC chairperson Nur Jazlan Mohamed cleared DAP's PJ Utara MP Tony Pua from your accusation of having revealed classified information or breaching PAC terms.

Pua’s in-depth knowledge of 1MDB scams is an asset to the PAC probe and Arul knows that Malaysians will never allow Pua to accede to his condition.

If Arul has nothing to hide, why wriggle out from Pua’s unconditional challenge? Why no such conditions for his briefings for his Umno-BN fans? Is it because they would not dare to stray from the script or contradict his recycled lies?

Arul is an exact replica of his master who blamed security for not turning up at the ‘Nothing2Hide’ forum when he heard that his nemesis was waiting for him there.

Ksn: Arul, Pua’s appointment as a member of PAC is none of your business. You have to tell the truth about the company you are heading. That is your job.

CQ Muar: Arul, why must you resort to laying conditions before accepting the challenge to appear on live TV? Why insist on Pua resigning first from PAC before you accept the invitation?

The rakyat is only interested to see how you respond to questions put forth by Pua pertaining to 1MDB.

Besides, Pua even agreed to bear no grudges should you prove him wrong and embarrass him during the live talk show. Arul, accept the challenge without any "ifs and buts".

On the other hand, would you openly swear to resign from your positions from 1MDB should you fail to convince the nation and the rakyat?

Patriot1: This is the most stupid reply I've seen to date from Arul. Your job is to provide answers to the taxpayers, not play a political poker game with Pua.

1MDB is still being investigated and as a member of PAC, Pua's job is to continue providing answers to the public.

Be a man, go on live TV and answer Pua’s questions. For now, your credibility as a president of 1MDB is very much in doubt.

What conflict of interest is Arul talking about? Is it really a conflict of interest for Pua to remain in the PAC and at the same time take on Arul on live TV?

Anyway, Arul is just a pawn willing to be sacrificed just to get rid of Pua, and even if Pua goes live on TV with him, Arul will just say, "I don't know", "It's still under investigation", etc.

SSDhaliwal: Arul, this is not a courtroom and you are not being subpoenaed to testify.

Instead it is a question-and-answer session for you to clear the air and a golden opportunity for you to counter The Wall Street Journal’s (WSJ) and Sarawak Report's allegations against 1MDB.

Based on your dodgy response, you certainly have something to hide by demanding something that you know cannot be fulfilled even if Pua wanted to.

Indeed, if 1MDB was so squeaky clean as you and Najib proclaim, any righteous person would have sued WSJ by now.

Speaking Sense: What kind of response is this? Whether it is in his role as a PAC member or as an interviewer, Pua's responsibility is to find out the truth and Arul's responsibility is to provide answers.

So how would Pua's role in the PAC and asking Arul in a live TV interview be a conflict of interest, since both are designed to find the truth?

Unless, of course, Arul has something to hide and thinks he can lie in an interview but not in an official PAC hearing? Whatever, this looks like a cowardly response of someone trying to evade the issue.

Aries46: Why fear Pua’s one-man show when you have the entire 1MDB apparatus and the blind support of Umno-BN at your disposal?

This is the golden opportunity for you and your masters to bury the 1MDB ghost once and for all.

Unless of course, you yourself have no faith in all those nice things you have been hollering about your ‘debt’ fund.
