DAP's Kampung Tunku state assemblyperson Lau Weng San has urged the Selangor government to absorb the Goods and Services Tax (GST) for services provided by local councils.

Lau said this was because the GST was burdening the bottom 40 percent (B40) and the middle 40 percent of income earners (M40).
