Selangor DAP deputy treasurer Lau Weng San has urged Menteri Besar Azmin Ali to acknowledge that the ruling coalition in Selangor is a Pakatan Harapan government in cooperation with PAS.

"One fact that has to be accepted is the Selangor government now is being led by PKR, Amanah, DAP and PAS.

"PKR, DAP and Amanah have joined forces under Pakatan Harapan.

"So the menteri besar must stress that the Selangor government is a Pakatan Harapan government," Lau told journalists at the Selangor state assembly lobby in Shah Alam today.

Azmin had previously said the formation of Pakatan Harapan was for the next general election and had to do with the Selangor government.

He added that there was no need for Pakatan Harapan in Selangor like in Penang as the political scenario was different.

Selangor PKR has also defended Azmin's move to retain PAS in the state government, stating that this was consistent with the decision of the PKR central leadership.
