Azmin must choose between PAS and Pakatan Harapan

YOURSAY | ‘PKR must also split into two, like PAS. Let Azmin go to bed with Hadi.’

PAS MPs to abstain from voting Budget 2016

Vent: The problem with PAS is one of PKR’s own making. PKR pussy footing its way around every time PAS takes a damaging stand has only emboldened PAS.

Face it, PKR. PAS is the ‘enfant terrible’ in the coalition and should be either soundly whipped to behave or be isolated.

Tolerating PAS just so that PKR can work together with PAS in a Muslim brotherhood for fear of being dominated by DAP is a strategy that can cost you the goodwill of Pakatan Harapan who by all accounts can go it alone.

Or perhaps Selangor MB Azmin Ali is waiting for PAS to reunite with Umno so that he too can follow suit in the grand coalition of ‘greater Umno’.

After all, he is beholden to PAS for the MB’s post and going back to Umno may just be like going back home.

Vijay47: Pakatan, if after this open even defiant admission of PAS' "approach of cooperation" with BN, read Umno, you continue to hold truck with that treacherous party, you will richly deserve the contempt and curses heaped upon you.

After their shameful record, after their betrayal time after time, what more evidence do you need before you pluck the PAS viper from your bosom and cast it away?

Remember, their moving finger has writ, and having writ, moves on, nor all their piety, wit nor tears will wash out a word of it.

6th Generation Immigrant: PAS is neither hawkish, dovish nor centrist, and surely not Islamist. They have lost the plot and their leaders, too, are lost in wilderness. It's kindergarten politics of late.

PAS leader Abdul Hadi Awang's confusing moves and decisions have led his party to be a rift-raft, neither here nor there in Malaysian politics, and they are worse off going alone.

Just compare Hadi's statements to that of his deputy president’s. Now compare the Youth chief's statements to both, and then compare all their statements to that of the late Nik Aziz Nik Mat’s.

Can anyone pick up a philosophy, theme, plot, contingency and consistency in the party? The party has been in shambles since the passing of Nik Aziz.

Kelantan shall surely suffer the boon of their bad politics, if they are voted in blindly again.

Anonymous_3e86: It will be up to the people to tell PAS that they want PAS MPs to vote against Budget 2016.

Those constituencies won by PAS with the support of the other races must march to these PAS MPs offices to demand that they vote in line with the wishes of the people who voted for them.

NewMalaysia: "But the budget was made to benefit the rakyat as well," said Nik Abduh.

Can such statement be implied that one will not be against any robber so long as the robber later return a tiny portion of the loot to the victim or to charity?

BTN: PAS is a gone case in other parts of Malaysia apart from Kelantan. They have proven to be the most unreliable partner in Pakatan.

PKR president Wan Azizah Wan Ismail can’t do anything to them right now without rocking the boat. Just be patience and see how they fare in the next GE.

'Coalition of convenience' with PAS not sustainable

N1: DAP leader Lim Kit Siang is correct in his view that his party should not play along with those who make use of religion and race to further their own political goals.

Those who insist on the supremacy of one race or religion will eventually be forsaken by Malaysians and the rest of the world because their beliefs are against the basic charter of human rights advocated by the United Nations.

DAP and Amanah can move on without PKR if the party insists on working with PAS.

Winning the election should not be the most important goal because an unstable coalition will not be sustainable when you have parties that cannot work together based on a common policy framework.

Obs: PKR must also split into two parties, like PAS. Let Azmin go to bed with Hadi.

Azmin is beholden to Hadi and he wants to keep his MB job badly, that's is as clear as daylight.

Multi Racial: I agree with Lim Kit Siang. It’s time to forget PAS and move on with Pakatan Harapan. I believe Pakatan Harapan is better than Pakatan.

The only negative point now is PKR, particularly Azmin. I understand he felt indebted to PAS for his MB position. But he must not forget, Selangor MB is given to Pakatan based on Pakatan promises.

The stand PAS took now will not go well with the people. Azmin don't owe PAS anything for the MB position. Azmin should instead thankful to people of Selangor for their support and should be more sensitive of what Selangorians want.

Selangorians want PKR to move on with Pakatan Harapan and forget about PAS as they cannot be trusted any more.

Hang Tuah PJ: I am a Pandan constituent. In the next GE, if DAP stands against PAS, I will vote DAP. If DAP stands against PKR, I will vote DAP.

If PAS stands against Umno, we will spoil our votes. That’s how most Pandan folks feel.
