MIC will hold its Deepavali open house at the Batu Caves temple on Nov 10, said party secretary-general A Sakthivel.

He said the event would be held in the vicinity of the temple from 9.30am to 1pm.

All communities were invited to join in the celebration, he told Bernama today.

According to the Malaysia Hindu Sangam, this year Deepavali, which celebrates the triumph of good over evil, would fall on Nov 10.

Hindus observe Deepavali on ‘Saturthasi Tithi’, the 14th day of the month of ‘Iypasi’, based on the Hindu ‘panjangam’ calendar.
