Forget Arul vs Pua, let Najib debate Dr M

YOURSAY | ‘That would be a poetic pairing - the past and the present of Malaysia's hopes.’

'Sotong masak tepung' replaces 'DAP Chinese coward'

Vijay47: I think that when Umno categorised its members, it sent the chaff to Parliament and the wheat to man (pro-Najib Abdul Razak blog) MyKMU.

That is why the brilliant personnel at that website has commenced its expected attack on Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua, claiming as expected that Pua has backed out of the confrontation.

When the entire government machinery, including the House speaker, is obsessed with a single-minded mission to reduce opposition presence in Parliament, it would be the height of stupidity for Pua to give Umno even the least excuse to get him suspended.

I am sure that speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia is itching on his new toilet seat, waiting for the opportunity to drop the axe.

MyKMU, what do you care who represents those against 1MDB in the debate? If he is unqualified, it would only mean that much of an easier victory for Arul Kanda.

We can now witness a very savage campaign on how Pua chickened out. Perhaps we can also expect Pandikar, the ultimate authority on interpretation, to now rule that no MP can take part in any 1MDB debate.

As Umno hits panic stations, one of its expected responses now would be that the original talk or meeting, debate, or whatever was to be between Pua and 1MDB president Arul, and it would not be interested if Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli enters the fray.

The answer to such a stand would be that 1MDB is not a question of individuals and personalities, it is a matter of national concern and it is to be expected that either side would choose the best person under the circumstances to present its arguments.

And as to the person who suggested that former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad take on Arul, I think that that is a brilliant idea. Except for a minor change - just like Rafizi will substitute Pua, Arul can be replaced by Najib, the head of 1MDB advisory board.

That would be a poetic pairing - the past and the present of Malaysia's hopes.

P Dev Anand Pillai: Yes, why can't they get their numero uno to debate Mahathir?

That will settle all scores and Malaysia will be back to its great Wonderland glory days, and the chosen party will win again and live happily ever after.

RCZ: The questions are on billions of missing dollars and cents, and we need a financial man to challenge Arul’s account of where the billions went and to catch him and Najib out.

Mahathir will never be as good or as astute as Pua or Rafizi and that's why the pro-Umno blog prefers Dr M.

The opposition is not as stupid as this blog. Umno will always be the loser because they are defending the indefensible.

Pua was not expecting to be a hero. He is a hero. The writers of this pro-Umno portal are cowards. Isn't that obvious?

Cinaputra: Against Rafizi, may I suggest that Low Taek Jho take over from Arul.

The latter, after all, only came into the picture at the beginning of the year and may not fully know the background of the joint-venture (JV) with PetroSaudi International.

If there's no objection on the part of Rafizi, the debate should take place at a secret location in Taiwan. To confirm, please get in touch with Low’s confidant, Ms Paris Hilton.

Shovelnose: So many roadblocks placed on those seeking answers. Does it matter where and which forum the answers we all seek comes from?

The Mask: MyKMU.net, firstly it was not a debate. It was supposed to be a ‘talk’ show, whereby the host asks questions and the guest answers them.

Second, you challenge Mahathir to take on Arul, but in your last sentence you urged Arul not to waste time with other politicians. Make up your mind, will you?

Anyway thank you for admitting that Pua is the only one qualified to take on Arul. That’s why we need him in the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) - to expose the dirt in 1MDB.

TheAnonymous: If not for the parliament speaker's sideshow, the debate would go on as scheduled.

Why is it when it comes to the opposition, everything must go according to the book, but when it comes to Umno, anything goes?

Responsible Malaysian: As long as you are a thief, you cannot consider your action as brave. No thief will tell others that he is brave to be a thief.

Boeyks: A person is a coward when he has to face all sorts of condition, whereas the other doesn't.

If you are not a coward, remove all the conditions, let’s have it out in the open on level ground.

If you can't, then you know who the coward is.

Anonymous 2368651442807108: A person who is not a coward would be one who is willing to debate with anyone and not just with one particular person.
