After shooting to fame with his music video Mana Hilang 2.6 Bintang (Where has 2.6 stars disappeared), Amirudin Hizadin is finding the spotlight on him.

Today, the National Civics Bureau (BTN), known for its courses to instil pro-government sentiments, even welcomed Amirudin to attend its programmes.

However, Amirudin said he was not involved in any organisations and only wanted to play music.

"I am not involved in any organisation or (political) party. I am just an independent composer and singer.

"I want to be known as a musician," he said in a Facebook posting today.

Amirudin added that he does not intend to attend any press conferences any time soon.

Amirudin also has a new Facebook page today, which was described as a "Musician/Band".

The 23-year-old college student had sung the song out of frustration of the unresolved issue of RM2.6 billion in Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's personal bank accounts and the rising cost of living.

Amirudin's video has garnered over 200,000 views on YouTube after he first uploaded it on Monday.
