A parcel containing powder sent to the health minister’s office at Block E7 in Putrajaya today caused panic to spread among the staff, prompting them to vacate the whole of the 13th floor.

The parcel was said to have been received by one of the staff at 3.15pm, before she opened it and came into contact with the powdery substance which made her hands itch.

As a result, all staff at the minister’s office rushed out and gathered at the compound of the building.

Fire squad and the police were also seen at the scene.
