Mara students in Paris safe
All students sponsored by Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) who are based in Paris, France, are safe following the series of attacks there late yesterday.
However, Mara deputy director-general (Education) Abdul Halim Abas declined to reveal the number of Malaysian students studying there.
He said based on information received, no Malaysian students were at the scene of the attacks.
“The students are located far away from the incidents. Mara will channel updates on their situation,” he told Bernama in Kuala Lumpur today.
He said Mara officers were constantly monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of the students.
In this regard, parents and students are advised not to worry over the latter's safety and to continue keeping in touch with one another.
