Salleh Man to meet state PAS on his support for Penang gov’t
Permatang Pasir state assemblyperson Mohd Salleh Man will meeting Penang PAS to clarify his stand to support the Penang Pakatan Harapan government.
Mohd Salleh, who the sole assemblyperson in the state for PAS, said he would accept whatever decision made by the state PAS on the matter.
Last week, he had a meeting with the Permatang Pauh PAS and last Sunday it had severed ties with Mohd Salleh due to his open support towards the Pakatan Harapan led by DAP, which was contrary to the stand taken by PAS.
Mohd Salleh, who is also Penang Islamic Religious Council (MAIPP) president, said he would continue to carry out all tasks entrusted until his term expired.
He said this to reporters after the handing over of consolatory payment to 2,652 religious and Al-Quran teachers in Penang involving RM1.59 million tithe collection.
Meanwhile, Mohd Salleh said MAIPP, in collaboration with the Penang Islamic Foundation, would build a syariah-friendly private hospital in Bayan Baru next year at a cost of RM200 million.
