Sabah marine police arrest three more curfew violators
The marine police have arrested three more people for having defied the curfew in the waters off Sabah.
The trio, all men aged between 22 and 38, were picked up at 3.30am yesterday in the waters off Pulau Gaya near Semporna in the 'Ops Taring' operation, Sabah Region Four Marine Police commander ACP Mohamad Madun said today.
On Tuesday, four people, all males aged between 16 and 27, were arrested in the waters off Kapalai, also near here, for defying the curfew.
Mohamad said in a statement that in the latest incident, a patrol team came across a boat with the three men who did not have curfew passes.
The police also seized a pump boat engine and 13 empty jerrycans, he added.
