National badminton player Lee Chong Wei’s star continues to shine when he beat Tian Houwei to win the Hong Kong Superseries for the fourth time today.
The victory, his fifth title this year, makes him the first player to win all Superseries and Superseries Premier events.
He last week won the China Open , where he defeated arch-rival and five time world champion Lin Dan – the first time on Lin’s home turf.
The victory today also pushes him to the sixth spot in the world rankings.
He defeated Tian in straight sets of 21-16 and 21-15, in 49 minutes at the Hong Kong coliseum.
He lost to Tian in their last offing at the Australian Open in April 2013.
Lee previously won the Hong Kong Open in 2009, 2010 and 2013.
