The Negri Sembilan government will make a RM500 special payment to the 6,588 civil servants in the state next month, Menteri Besar Mohamad Hasan said today.

The payment was in recognition of the service and dedication to excellence of the civil servants in discharging their duties well, he said when tabling the 2016 Supply Bill at the meeting of the state legislative assembly.

“It is hoped that the payment will help ease the financial burden of parents buying school necessities for their children,” he said.

The federal government had also announced a special payment of RM500 for civil servants in the 2016 budget.
