Thailand is “highly likely” to decide to join the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA) free-trade deal, Thai Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak said today.

“Thailand is highly interested in joining TPPA,” he told a news conference in Tokyo through an interpreter. “Chances are high that Thailand will seek to join TPPA.”

The trade agreement currently has 12 members.
