Treason probe – I'll defend myself before Parliament, says Nurul

PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar today said she will seek to defend herself against an alleged treason charge in front of the entire Dewan Rakyat so all lawmakers can see the true picture.

"I will push for my opportunity to speak and defend myself although there has never been a precedent of an MP being hauled up for something that happened outside Parliament," the Lembah Pantai MP told reporters outside the Bukit Aman police headquarters.
