Tunku Jalil will never be forgotten, says TMJ

Johor Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim has pledged that his bloodline will continue to carry the name of his brother, Tunku Abdul Jalil Sultan Ibrahim, who had passed away last night after battling with liver cancer.

In memory of his brother, Tunku Ismail in a posting on the Johor Southern Tiger Facebook page, Tunku Ismail said: “You will never be forgotten. Your name will be carried by my bloodline. Your smile will be my strength. May Allah bless you, little brother. Love you always.”

The fourth child of the sultan of Johor, Tunku Abdul Jalil, 25, had passed away at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor Baru at 7.11pm yesterday.

“To my beloved brother... Out of all the sleepless nights, tonight is the most difficult for me. We all love and miss you so much.

“You are our strength and inspiration. You have the one quality that none of us possess; your humble, loving heart. I love you with all my heart and I miss you dearly,” said Tunku Ismail.

In a posting on his Instagram account last night, Tunku Idris Sultan Ibrahim also said that all who wish to pay their last respects are welcome to come to the Istana Besar in Johor Baru until noon today.

“Tonight we have lost one of the most kind hearted person I’ve ever known.

“Thank you all for your kinds words, prayers and support,” said the third child of Sultan Ibrahim.

The fourth of six children of Sultan Ibrahim and Permaisuri of Johor Raja Zarith Sofiah Sultan Idris, Tunku Jalil will be laid to rest at the Mahmoodiah Royal Mausoleum in Johor Baru after zohor prayers this afternoon.
