Muslim Welfare Organisation Malaysia (Perkim) secretary-general Mohd Yusof Noor has urged a non-governmental organisation (NGO) to stop making provocations against Islam.

"Since the G25 group are professionals, they should settle issues via dicussions," he told a press conference on the Multiracial Muslim Regional Seminar (MMRS) in Kuala Lumpur today.

Mohd Yusof said the NGOs who made provocations which touched on religious sensitivities were indirectly disputing the royal institution in this country.

On the MMRS, he said Perkim will organise the event on Dec 18 and Dec 29 at a hotel in Putrajaya.

"The seminar is to enhance unity among Muslims of various races in this country. Perkim will continue to help all Muslims irrespective of race."

The speakers line-up include Mohd Ridhuan Tee Abdullah, Kolej Universiti Islam Antarabangsa lecturer Mohd Farid Ravi Abdullah, and Chinese Muslim Association of Indonesia representative H Anton Medan.
