The northern Spanish village of Villarroya completes its voting in today's parliamentary elections within a minute, before most of the country's polling stations had even opened.

There are six registered voters in the village, out of a population of six, all of whom had agreed to meet at the polls as soon as they opened, a local spokesperson said.

Their action broke a 2014 record in European Parliament voting, when they needed two minutes for everyone to vote.
