Vape traders in Penang have urged the state government to regulate vaping instead of banning it, saying proper research should be conducted first before prohibiting its sale.
Their association, Persatuan Pengusaha Vaping Pulau Pinang (Penang Vape Entrepreneurs Association ) or PPVPP, said the state should also consider banning cigarettes.
If the state plans to ban vaping, it should first ban cigarettes, which is considered more harmful than vaping, said PPVPP assistant secretary Christopher Mark Reutens.
