'PAS advises all, Umno, DAP, even reporters'
PAS advising Umno is not a big issue, as it is the party's usual practice to give guidance to all, said its vice-president Idris Ahmad.
"We are not (Umno's) advisors. PAS usually advises people. We (PAS) advise Umno, DAP, and the public because we are an Islamic party.
"We even advise reporters," Idris quipped, when speaking to Malaysiakini .
He said this after a closed-door PAS meeting in Kuala Lumpur today.
Last year, PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang had said that PAS has no intention of toppling Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak by voting against Budget 2016.
Instead he said PAS wants to give Umno advice.
Hadi and Najib have since brought their parties closer to each other, and have both spoken about working together for Malay-Muslim interests.
