Stadium Sultan Muhammad IV in Kota Bharu will not only get a fresh coat of pink paint.

According to Kelantan Football Association (Kafa) president Annuar Musa, the azan (Muslim call to prayer) will also be called out live at the stadium.

Games will be preceded with the singing of the 'Negaraku' by special guests, as per the custom in sporting matches in Europe and the United States.

Tickets will also be sold online with options for season tickets, he said on Facebook .

“There will be more involvement by other athletes and artists, along with special invitations of children from orphanages, the disabled as well as prominent individuals,” he said.

This comes after the football association accepted the RM16 million two-season sponsorship offer by cosmetics mogul Hasmiza Othman, who is better known as Datuk Vida.

Among others, the terms of sponsorship include the home ground of the Kelantan Red Warriors being coloured pink, and to make football matches more family friendly.

The Red Warriors have received flak after several incidents of hooliganism involving its fans saw stadium seats burned and brawls outside the stadium.

Annuar said adding family-friendly elements to the show will boost the team spirit.

“We try to inculcate a muhibbah , family-friendly and caring image. This will add value to spectators’ experience,” he said.
