YOURSAY | ‘And by the way, how many leaders in Perkasa are non-Malay?’
DAP 'not anti-Malay' gives Ibrahim Ali sleepless nights
GE14Now!:
Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali, by your definition - all top positions in DAP are held by Chinese and therefore it’s a racist party - then your organisation is racist, as is Umno, as are MIC and MCA since all these parties have top positions that are held by their own ethnicities.
That is the way that politics has been run in this country all this while. In fact, PKR and the DAP have people of various ethnicities helming different positions at the top.
By your own definition then, the DAP is not racist but you are. Do you not see your own hypocrisy in all of this?
Mojo Jojo: If DAP is a racist political party for having a leadership line-up that is largely ethnic Chinese, then what do you call Umno that is largely, if not solely, dominated by Malays?
Yes, DAP may not have 30 percent Malay membership, but it does at least have Malay members. What about Umno? Does it have a single ethnic Chinese member within its rank?
Ibrahim Ali, if you think that making nonsensical statements like this would score you political brownie points to revive an already non-existent political career, think again.
Victor Johan: So Ibrahim 'Katak' Ali wants DAP to have a quota of at least 30 percent of the leadership to be Malays.
DAP is a multiracial party and not a business concern that is compelled to abide by the rules of having bumiputera and Malays equity and directorship.
By the way, how many of the leaders in Perkasa are non-Malay?
Doc: I totally agree with Ibrahim Ali that the NEP (New Economic Policy) is sacred to Umno and the Malays. With the NEP policy in place for eons now, the benefits the Malays have achieved from this great policy are huge.
Today we see Malay students ‘starving’ in public universities, Malays struggling under BN's ‘barang naik’ policy, Malay graduate unemployment rate staggeringly high, the smart and educated Malays migrating or seeking asylum in other countries, the government withdrawing subsides to toughen up the Malays, Malay warriors fight as jihadists in Syria and blowing themselves up, Malays having numerous social problem (high divorce rates, teenage pregnancies, rapes, etc), Felda is sinking just like the ringgit, the rise of Mat Rempits, and only a fraction of Malays can afford to buy their own house.
Just imagine how much worse off the Malays will be if the NEP policy is scraped. Go on Ibrahim Ali, defend the NEP.
Wg321: I think it is not fair for us to make all sorts of personal attack against Ibrahim Ali. We must respect his opinion.
When interviewed by KiniTV, he said that he has grave doubt about the sincerity of DAP concerning DAP’s promise to defend:
1) Islam
2) the Malay language
3) sovereignty of Malay rulers
4) special position of the Malays
5) NEP vis-a-vis DAP’s Malaysian Malaysia
The best way to engage Ibrahim Ali is to have a live debate/forum with him on TV in order to convince him about DAP’s sincerity.
Since Kluang MP Liew Chin Tong is temporarily indisposed for the next three months, I suggest Penang CM Lim Guan Eng to have a debate/forum with Ibrahim.
Wong Lu Shin: A study, published in Psychological Science , showed that people who score low on IQ tests in childhood are more likely to develop prejudiced beliefs and racist views.
See full paper here . In making statements like this, Ibrahim Ali clearly demonstrates this scientific study was correct.
Najib misled the people on 1MDB promise, says Tony Pua
Kim Quek: When the prime minister of a country could tell such a huge bare-faced lie at the monthly assembly of his department, you know that there is no credibility left with the government.
Of the some RM50 billion owed by 1MDB, the only major and accountable assets it has acquired is the power assets that it is disposing now for RM10 billion, reducing its debts by RM17 billion.
Hence, we are staring at potential loss of some RM30 billion; and who would pay for this loss, if not the Malaysian taxpayers?
So, how could Najib claim that no public funds would be involved? And how could he claim that he is on the point of resolving the entire scandalous fiasco when none of the sharks responsible for this stupendous loss has been netted, and the source of fund is found to settle such debts, save the pricey prime lands given to it by the government virtually for free (which is also deemed people’s money)?
Or god forbid, Najib has already hatched a scheme to sweep the entire scandal under the carpet – without criminal culpability, but with plenty of public money and public assets, of course.
Boeyks: Now we can understand why Bolehland is in such a mess. Just look at the answers they gave and the actual situation.
The only 1MDB profit is from sale of land brought at shockingly low price. Why not silence the opposition by selling more land? Don’t limit it to Bandar Malaysia but elsewhere as well.
