Batu Caves temple committee president R Nadarajah has secured a court injunction against a book, about a lawsuit filed against him.

The injunction, granted by the Kuala Lumpur High Court, bars the publication, distribution, sale and release of the book, which was supposed to be launched tomorrow.

The book by M Varatharajoo, is about the suit filed by lawyer M Manoharan, to remove Nadarajah from his duties at the Batu Caves temple.

Manoharan, in his suit last April, sought to get Nadarajah sacked, as he believes that the latter had failed in his duties to administer the organisation as a “charitable, cultural, religious, and educational trust”.

He also claimed that Nadarajah had also abused his powers as chairperson for about 30 years.

Varatharajoo says the book is only a Malay and Tamil translation of the suit.

“There was no added opinions,” he told Malaysiakini .

The book contains court documents, and the affidavit filed by Manoharan.

When contacted, Manoharan said the case is still on-going, with the next hearing on Feb 18.
