DAP parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang has questioned if pro-Umno portal MyKMU would pressure Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak to reveal the truth on the RM2.6 billion found in his account.

After all, he said, the portal has been pressuring him to come clean on the allegations that DAP received money from an Israeli source prior to the 13th general election.

"Now that I have made an outright denial of the RM1.2 billion allegation against DAP, will MyKMU ask Najib to fully explain or make an outright denial of the RM2.6 billion or RM4 billion donation allegations?" Lim asked in a statement today.

He denied the allegations of receiving money from an Israeli source, saying that it was the "concoction of the fevered imagination" of former DAP member Mohamed Razali Abd Rahman and PAS research director Mohd Zuhdi Marzuki.

Razali was never even connected to Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng in any capacity, Lim ( photo ) added.

"What I have done is in direct contrast to the RM2.6 billion donation allegations against Najib," he said.

Najib never denied that RM2.6 billion was deposited in his account after the information first came to light in a Wall Street Journal report in July last year, Lim pointed out.

It was only much later, after the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission declared the money as a donation, that Najib revealed it was a political donation from the Middle East, he said.

The explanations given for the donation have also been contradictory, Lim said, such as it being for the Umno election campaign fund, for combating the Islamic State, Israel, DAP and so on.

Now, a new mystery has cropped up, he added, pointing to the question of whether it was actually RM2.6 billion or RM4 billion in Najib's account.

"Why is it so difficult for Najib to answer this question?

"Would MyKMU now train their guns on Najib to demand that he stop his prevarication and procrastination for over six months as he dared not issue an outright denial of the RM2.6 billion donation in his accounts?" he asked.

Razali and Zuhdi had previously claimed that DAP was offered RM1.2 billion in return for permission to set up an Israeli military base in Malaysia if the opposition managed to capture Putrajaya in the last general election.

Meanwhile, Najib has consistently denied any wrongdoing with regards to the RM2.6 billion found in his accounts.
