Youths aged 15 to 21 held for fatal stabbing of Form Four student

Six youths aged between 15 and 21 have been detained to facilitate investigations into the fatal stabbing of a 16-year-old male student at Bandar Puteri Jaya in Sungai Petani.

Kuala Muda district police chief ACP Md Zukir Md Isa said the suspects, all male, were nabbed at various locations in Sungai Petani.

"The motive is believed to be robbery. Police also seized a knuckle duster, a pocket knife and a motorcycle.

"The case is considered solved with the arrest of the six suspects who are being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code," he told Bernama today.

K Kishen, a Form Four student of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Dato Wijaya was reported to have been stabbed to death in front of a mini market at Bandar Puteri Jaya on Jan 19, around 10pm.
