"Hurling microphone is Mat Sabu's style, not us. We ask people to fight against the government (to no avail), but we are not so frustrated to the extent of hurling microphones.
"I have asked PAS Youth members not to do it," he told reporters in a press conference at PAS headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.
Mohamad, who is better known as Mat Sabu, criticised Malaysians as "cowards" and urged them to rise to fight corruption, on the first aniversary of PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim's jailing on Feb 10.
"Cis! Let's rise up!" he shouted before throwing the microphone against the stage backdrop and walking off stage.
