Parti Amanah Negara Selangor chairperson Izham Hashim has come out to say that there had never been a case of criminal breach of trust when he was Kelana Jaya PAS chief.

He said all financial matters were duly recorded according to PAS regulations when he held the position last year.

This comes after BN portal BNBBC reported that police are investigating an Amanah leader for criminal breach of trust of more than RM50,000 held in the Kelana Jaya PAS bank account.

The breach allegedly happened before a Kelana Jaya PAS committee meeting on Aug 18 last year to cancel the purchase of a building.

Kelana Jaya PAS reportedly lodged a police report on the matter last Friday.

“Generally speaking, when I headed Kelana Jaya PAS, all financial matters were agreed to during a meeting.

“It would be recorded in the meeting's minutes. Any decision would need approval and must follow regulations,” Izham said when contacted.

Izham said he did not know the details of the police report.

He said about 90 percent of Kelana Jaya PAS committee members left the party when he quit as Kelana Jaya chief to join splinter party Amanah.

“The committee today is 100 percent new so I don’t know if it has really investigated the matter properly before making allegations,” he said.
