Shut your mouth, Umno Youth tells NGO chief

Small and Medium Scale Entrepreneurs Alliance of Malaysia (Ikhlas) president Mohd Ridzuan Abdullah should get his facts straight and shut up instead of criticising Deputy Prime Miniser Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, said Umno Youth executive council member Armand Azha Abu Hanifah.

"Hold fewer populist-centric press conferences and make less statements,” Armand Azha said in a statement today.

He added that Mohd Ridzuan is an attention-seeker who likes to play up sentiments rather than talk about facts.

Armand Azha was responding to Mohd Ridzuan's remarks earlier today, telling Zahid to quit office for allegedly insulting youths by challenging them to take up 3D (dirty, difficult, and dangerous) jobs.

This is in relation to the hubbub over the government's plan to bring in 1.5 million Bangladeshi workers.

Armand Azha repeated Zahid's argument that Malaysians are uninterested in the 3D jobs, thus necessitating the import of foreign labour.

Currently, there are 2.1 million registered migrant workers in the country, although the actual numbers are believed to be double.
