RMAF aircraft makes emergency landing, eight crew survive
A CN235 aircraft belonging to the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) carrying a crew of eight was reported to have made an emergency landing near the seashore at Batu 2, Kuala Selangor this morning.
According to an RMAF statement, the Subang-based aircraft landed at 8.50am. The eight crew members were reportedly safe after getting assistance from local fishermen at the scene.
RMAF will form a team to investigate the cause of the incident while efforts would also be made to recover the aircraft, said the statement.
Earlier, Selangor Fire and Rescue operations assistant director Mohd Sani Harul said in a statement that the department received a report on the incident from members of the public who witnessed the incident.
