Khairuddin to lodge ROS report against Umno

Former Umno leader Khairuddin Abu Hassan will lodge a report against the party with the Registrar of Societies (ROS) on March 1.

This is because the supreme council had not been following the party's rules, including when suspending Muhyiddin Yassin as Umno deputy president, he claimed.

He added that by suspending Muhyiddin as party number two, the council also did not respect the outcome of the last party polls.

"The time has come for all Umno members to stop the apple polishers in the supreme council from fooling us all," Khairuddin said in a Facebook posting today.

The council suspended Muhyiddin from his post as Umno deputy president on Friday for continuously speaking out against party president Najib Abdul Razak.

Khairuddin said his own dismissal as Batu Kawan Umno vice-chief, and the sacking of Gopeng Wanita Umno chief Hamidah Osman, were other instsnces where the supreme council had acted out of line.

This is because neither himself, Hamidah, nor Muhyiddin was given show-cause letter nor were they given a chance to defend themselves before action was taken against them.

Khairuddin challenged the Umno leadership to hold party elections now to prove its strength.

"If the Umno president and the supreme council think they are strong and have the people's support, then please hold Umno elections now.

"Don't postpone it until 2018," Khairuddin said.
