YOURSAY | PAS chief confused to say he’s not cooperating with Umno, but with its members.

PAS’ Hadi will not join anti-Najib rally

Maplesyrup: According to PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang, Umno is bad, but the people in Umno are okay. What kind of logic is that?

This kind of talk simply paves the way for PAS to cooperate with Umno, for he is not cooperating with Umno but with the people of Umno... very clever, Hadi, and also very confusing.

Multi Racial: Time for PAS members to rise and get rid of Hadi. He is not just a traitor to Pakatan. He is also a traitor to PAS. Worst still, he is traitor to Malaysians.

He and PAS did well in GE13 because he gave the impression to Malaysians that he was with the people and Pakatan, and therefore wanted to topple BN, particularly Umno.

Now it is clear he wants to work with Umno. So, all PAS members should remove Hadi before Hadi brings down the party.

Frankie: Umno is what it is because of the people in it. Hadi's argument is really twisted.

CQ MUAR: Hadi, as a leader of PAS, you've proven yourself to be a coward and a disappointment. You are neither here nor there - a fence-sitter preferring to take the middle path, lest you hurt the feelings of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

On the one hand, you claim to be against Umno as a party, but on the other, you wish to be on good terms with those in Umno. This proves you're unable to make commitments and judgments; uncertain of yourself and indecisive. These are not qualities of a good leader.

Hopeful123: Really amazing how those in PAS can support such an unreliable leader. Gone are the days of PAS under Tok Guru Nik Aziz. PAS is a write-off in the next GE under Hadi, but there is nobody in the party who is prepared to tell him off. Now we know why Pakatan lost Kedah in the last GE.

Shibboleth: Does it make sense if I were to say, "I am anti-church... but not anti-Christian"?

Kuasa Rakyat: Whether you agree or not, PAS under Tok Guru was a party with integrity and based on religious principles. It is no longer so under this guy. Hadi has absolutely no integrity and is only interested in politics, not religion. He has brought PAS to become another Umno.

Surely, PAS needs a better leader. Just like Najib is an embarrassment to Umno and Malaysia, Hadi (who treats Najib like his boss) is an embarrassment to PAS and its members.

Anonymous_1377321471: Pakatan has got to let PAS go, the quicker the better. PAS is a bed partner with a knife clearly in its hand, yet PKR chooses to sleep and daydream of getting Putrajaya.

Discovery: I am totally dumbfounded why PKR is still giving so much space to PAS. Why is it in bed with a party that is so cozy with Umno? Day by day, PKR is looking like a write-off to many Malaysians and many are losing faith and patience with a party that is run by people without backbones.

Teoh Siang Chang: What about if I say I am anti-IS but not its followers? Hadi is pathetic and is making PAS a religious party without moral principles.

Tan Kim Keong: Hadi is the ultimate personification of incoherence.

Pat88: By now, everybody should know that Hadi is the Trojan horse of Umno-BN. So, it's better to ignore him.

Anonymous #12566075z: The wolf is showing his colours now. He talks rubbish. If other PAS leaders follow his stand, then we know PAS is in coalition with Najib.

Ib: PAS people who hang on to this leader deserve to go down as supporters of the corrupt regime. Thanks to Hadi, now I see a big difference between PAS and Amanah. Those in PAS who believe in hard work and honest living will join Amanah.

Those hoping to become rich or powerful through the backdoor will hang on to Hadi who supports the people in Umno. Question: is it the party or the people that is corrupt? And who does Hadi want to be close with?

SusahKes: Recently, Hadi went 'yee sang' tossing in Perak, to give the appearance that he is still friendly with non-Muslims, specifically the Chinese. Hadi can toss all the 'yee sang' that he likes and as high as he wants, but this latest statement from him, about being Umno-friendly, proves that he is merely attempting to spit against the wind. Let me say it – what a loser.

What beggars belief is that PKR deputy president Azmin Ali is prepared to remain "diplomatic" towards Hadi - and by extension - Hadi's PAS but, at the same time, has no qualms in criticising Lim Guan Eng and DAP for the action taken by the Penang government against the PKR representatives who abstained in the land reclamation vote.

It is no exaggeration that Hadi has done more to damage the Opposition's aspirations than any other acts by the Pakatan team. So I have to ask again: What gives, Azmin?

Anonymous #40538199: So the party made mistakes or is corrupt, but none of its members were involved? He talks as if the party has its own will and able to act on its own, independent of its members. I think that exhibits some kind of mental problem.

Vijay47: It appears that Umno leaders Nazri Aziz and Azalina Othman Said's unique logic is an infectious disease, since Hadi has now fallen prey to it, not that he didn't already have his special mental deficiencies earlier.

He is against Umno's criminal deeds but in the interests of wanting to be "on good terms with the Umno people", Hadi is willing to overlook those who actually carried out the illegal acts.

What poppycock is this, Hadi? You dress like a half-Arab, you drop Arabic phrases at the drop of a turban, claim to be a leader guided by his religion, and yet reflect none of its virtues.

After years of doubting and distrusting PAS, the non-Muslims were persuaded to support PAS in the last general election, until you, Hadi, single-handedly burst that bubble and convinced them how naïve they were in having faith in PAS promises.

When the next general election comes around, don't bother visiting non-Muslim homes for their vote – they will either slam the door or set their dogs on you. But you may have better luck in Pekan.

Anonymous #66797900: What was the idea of asking this turncoat this question? He has not condemned corruption and RM2.6 billion donation. His one project is to introduce hudud. Other than that, he neither knows nor cares what happens.

Don't forget the electorate of Terengganu gave him a huge mandate when he became menteri besar but kicked him and PAS out the next election for achieving nothing other than giving religious sermons daily and dividing the people of PAS and Umno by setting up different mosques based on political affiliation. Now he's talking rot, dividing Umno from its members.

Kawak: That statement from the PAS president is not totally surprising. At the outset of the RM2.6 billion issue, he and Harun Din in fact defended the prime minister. He never uttered a word about the issue.

Any criticism on 1MDB and RM2.6 billion was delegated to Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, the deputy president. So, we expect PAS to assist Umno in gaining power again in the 14th general election by putting PAS candidates either in DAP- or PKR-held seats to split votes for Umno's benefit.

Spirit of Malaya: “I'm anti-Umno but not anti-Umno people," said Hadi. I seriously need help here because the more Hadi opens his mouth, the more confused I get. Looks like there's going to be lots of confused people, come GE14.

Res Ipsa: But in the first place, Hadi, I don't recall seeing your name on the list of proposed invitees. Were you planning to gatecrash? Or is this statement merely to mitigate your non-invitation to the proposed rally?

Just a Malaysian: Hadi - a confused person. Is he a politician or a religious head? Is he against evil and corruption or does he support it? Is he working for betterment of rakyat or is he helping to preserve the dominance of Umno? What is Hadi's stance? What is he fighting for? Is he the devil or is he fighting the devil? PAS without Tok Guru is a drifting, soulless party of hypocritical religious ulamas.

Baiyuensheng: PAS is anti-Umno but not anti-Umno people. DAP is anti-Hadi but not anti-PAS people.

Hadi is taking a page from DAP but the other way around. Which is more logical?

Anonymous_1371479577: Am I the only one who is confused by what the leader of PAS is saying?
