YOURSAY | ‘It appears that they know the truth about SRC and the ‘donation’.’
'Ex-AG showed me proof on Najib and SRC, it was clearly a crime'
Kingfisher:
The now-suspended Umno deputy president, Muhyiddin Yassin, who was also former deputy prime minister, has come out in the open now with a bold reference indicating that Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak has allegedly committed a crime in financial misappropriation.
This is shocking revelation at the highest level, with serious implications. It is bound to stir mistrust and moral outrage at the chief executive of government administration - both as PM and finance minister - who has to date repeatedly denied any wrongdoing on his part.
All past dissent by government ministers/spokespersons against allegations reported in the Sarawak Report and The Wall Street Journal will now be viewed in an entirely different perspective by ordinary Malaysians.
Obviously as this “out with the truth” by the former DPM follows immediately after his suspension as Umno deputy president, this would have a bearing on his "confession".
Odin Tajué: Muhyiddin, you can weep piteously and seek sympathy from fellow Umno leaders Mukhriz Mahathir, Shafie Apdal and the rest who have been kicked out by Najib, but you can gain none from many of us.
You did not get to know of the information only yesterday, in a manner of speaking, but you spoke about it only yesterday, also in a manner of speaking.
If you are a man of honour, one with principles, one who is morally upright, you would have brought up the matter soon after you were apprised of it. Why only now?
Answer: Because you have been deprived of the prestige, perks and pelf that both your last positions afforded you.
Before this, about all you did was to say that Najib should have addressed the scandals and to do so in an appropriate manner.
Iiiizzzziiii: The cat is out of the bag. An Umno deputy president who is now pointing fingers at the president over an alleged crime being perpetrated is suspended by the party's supreme council.
The only option is to note down all those names of the supreme council members because their very action had compromised their stature and integrity.
Which comes first - the country, the party or the leader?
If there exists a chance for a new government being formed from other parties, please remember to bring all the Umno supreme council members to justice and prosecute them without fear or favour for they have conspired to hide an alleged crime.
Doc : If Muhyiddin got himself suspended from Umno and his game plan was to reveal that SRC International's money was transferred into Najib’s personal bank accounts in the hope that this evidence will force Najib to step down, I have to say that is certainly a “dumb” plan.
Everyone in Malaysia (even Najib's most trusted cronies), the world over and probably those ETs on distant worlds that are listening to our TV, radio and maybe Wi-Fi waves know that Najib has allegedly committed gross crimes of corruption and international fraud.
Despite the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) leaked papers exposing Najib's dubious activities, WSJ and Sarawak Report ’s detailed reporting on Najib's international money trail, associate cronies, luxury shopping escapades, etc, and that Najib is the only leader in the world that has numerous international law agencies running investigation on him (United States, Swiss, Hong Kong and Singapore agencies, etc), Najib is still holding the post of prime minister of Malaysia!
Anonymous_1421406986: I have not met anyone who believes that Najib, as PM and finance minister, did not know who deposited the RM42 million from SRC International into his personal bank accounts, yet had no problems in allegedly spending the money.
This disgraceful behaviour can only be that of a man without any morals or integrity. Yet there are still numbskull ministers who believe in this fairy tale.
Will the former attorney-general (AG) step forward to confirm what Muhyiddin has just stated?
We are only hearing one side of the story. Would it not be better to hear from the ex-AG as well, given the seriousness of the matter, which has been shocking the country for the last one year? Or is he fearful of losing his government medical benefits and lifetime pension?
Lone_Star: For the former DPM and the former AG, the Rubicon has come to their doorstep: will they dare to cross it?
It appears that they know the truth about SRC International and the “donation”. Will they do their national duty or forever be damned?
Baiyuensheng: Muhyiddin, you should have been more forthright on the guilty party from the beginning. You kept it as your trump card for your own benefit.
Only now, void of any positions, have you came out and said you were shown evidence that Najib is guilty. It’s too little, too late. Najib has since strengthened his position.
Mosquitobrain: Muhyiddin has been helping Najib by keeping quiet in the 1MDB and SRC International fiascos.
You, too, can be hauled up for helping to hide Najib's alleged wrongdoings. Yes, it's a bit late, but better than never.
Burong Merah: What a state Malaysia is in now! The alleged criminal is spared punishment and enjoys power, position and money; while the innocent guy got punished and suspended from the party. Is this party a good party to be in and associated with?
Penangites Strive to be Ahead: Burong Merah says, “is this party a good party to be in and associated with?” Burong, please also direct your question to MCA and MIC.
Anna: Muhyiddin, it’s too late to reveal anything now that your wings have been clipped. This is a good lesson for those keeping quiet now. Strike while the iron is hot.
